Student Assessment
You're welcome to Helpline Schools Ìbà dà n. Strategically located at Oluyoro, opposite Catholic hospital and Ifewumi Gbaremu Ibadan.
Helpline Schools is founded and positioned to teach and groom our prospective pupils and students to become responsible, disciplined, self asserted and have outstanding academic achievements.
At Helpline Schools, we see that great value in your child and nurture him on the grounded educational background and godly environment.
Owned by God- fearing individuals, Reverend and Reverend Mrs Isaac O. Ijaopo, the school is located at these two areas in order to provide quality education to those who naturally would not have been able to access it.
This is Helpline schools where the future of your child is our concern!
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
At Helpline schools, we believe that pupils and students learn at all dimensions of knowledge which include the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. We aimed at letting our pupils and students participate actively in all these dimensions. We understand the fact that outside the classroom, passions, hobbies and future dreams could also be achieved through social and extra-curricular activities. The underlisted are our clubs diligently monitored by experienced tutors:
-
CHOIR CLUB: The Choir club has been effectively involved in all school activities as music is life. Majority of talents are developed and encouraged through this special club. Pupils and students are free to be in any section of the choir club which will work together to produce seasoned and inspiring music.
The voices, the instruments and the conducting sections of the club are successfully interwoven to bring out the best in our students both within and without the school environment.
- DRAMA CLUB: Fictive and non fictive categories of stories are acted and chanted through the drama club.
Students are motivated to create their stories themselves, script, produce and direct the stage/production through the effective coordination of seasoned teachers in this area.
- . CULTURAL CLUB:
The beautiful combination of the different ethnic groups in Nigeria can be seen here.
At the Helpline cultural club, the three major tribes in Nigeria are evident. The Yorubas show that we are rich in our heritage; the Igbos do come out in grand style via the rich dressing and nice diction of their songs and dancing steps; the Hausa dancers are always ready to show the nice rhythm in their songs and dance. On our cultural day, students dressed in their specific ethnics and seasoned writers are always on ground to enlighten the students.
Indeed we aimed to show that Nigeria is a blessed nation!
- . LITERARY AND DEBATING SOCIETY: literary club, elite club!
The slogan and the personal pledge of this club are the basic introductions that create the awareness that this hall belongs to the literary and debating society.
This club had participated in spelling bee competitions, debate and speeches organised by various schools and emerged the winner.
Our students are well-read about the history of the country, our past leaders and any issue related with current affairs.
Also, the assembly is never a dull moment on Fridays as this club do organise inter-class and interclub debates, quiz and spellings - both in English and Yoruba languages.
- PRESS CLUB: Helpline press simply shows 'voice through pen'. Students gather or source for news, create their news from various segments like fashion, health vox pop, interviews and what have you? They are also trained on how to edit news, cast news and speak and write good English. The press club has successfully carved a niche for the school through the publication of HELP - VOICE, an attractive, educating informative and entertaining school magazine.
-
- VOCATIONAL CLUB: Can you prepare delicious and hygienic MEALS? Do you think you can make beautiful beads, hats and muffler?
All you need is to see the Helpline vocational club.
Our students can make both liquid and solid soaps, creams and disinfectants. This enables them to help reduce their parents' excessive spending on things like this.
- JETS CLUB: The secondary school JETS club was formed in 1982 by Professor Peter Okebukola. JETS is an acronym for Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists.
The club is a science body that helps in inculcating better understanding of Science and Technology into its members.
This JETS club is supposed to be in every secondary school in Nigeria. That's why the JETS club is established in Help line College for science students in senior classes 1 to 3.
Helpline College JETS club holds their meetings fortnightly where members meet to have lectures, make researches, design projects and execute the same.
Quiz, debate, speech presentation and all sorts are part of what makes the JETS club in Helpline College interesting.
At Helpline College JETS club, our members have the privilege to participate in local, state, national and international competitions.
Finally, with these great talents and brains, you will be delighted to join us at Helpline Schools.
